This site is a record of how one house was built. It is published by Academia Development Corp. It carries no advertising, no retargeting pixels, and no marketing trackers. The limited services and information flows it uses are described below.
What the site collects on its own
Ordinary reading requires no account and the editorial pages ask for no personal details. Personal information is collected only when you choose to send one of the enquiries described below.
Reading position on this device
The home page can remember your most recent reading position and whether you dismissed its resume prompt. That small record contains a chapter identifier, its label and an update date; it stays in this browser, expires after 30 days and is not sent to Academia. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's browser storage.
Measurement
Page views are counted with Vercel Web Analytics. It is cookieless: it stores nothing on your device, builds no profile, and does not follow you to other sites. What it reports back is aggregate — how many people opened a page, which page they came from, rough country, and device type. None of it identifies a reader.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs. Those logs include IP addresses and are held transiently for security and reliability. They are Vercel's records, held under Vercel's terms, and are not used here to build any profile of a reader.
Legacy project enquiries
The form at the end of the home page is for people who choose to contact Academia about the published build record or a project conversation.
- What it asks for: your name, email address, phone number and whatever you choose to write in the message.
- Where it goes: the form is embedded from LeadConnector, the form and CRM product operated by HighLevel. Your entry is transmitted to and stored in Academia Development Corp's account there. Academia decides what happens to it; HighLevel processes and stores it on Academia's behalf.
- What it is used for: replying to you, and continuing that conversation. Nothing else.
- What it is never used for: your details are not sold, rented, traded, or released to anyone for their own marketing.
Because the form is served by a third party rather than by this site, it may set cookies of its own and is governed by HighLevel's privacy terms as well as this page. If you would rather not use it, write to the address below instead.
Private-residence enquiries
A separate, unindexed page accepts exceptional correspondence about Leslie House as a private residence. It asks for your name, email address, optional phone number, your capacity, your message, preferred reply method and consent to a direct response. Basic submission timing and an invisible spam field are used to deter automated abuse.
The note is validated by this site's server and sent over an encrypted connection to Academia Real Estate Corp's private HighLevel account. Authorized Academia administrators can review it there for a possible direct response only; consent to a reply is not consent to marketing or automated nurture. A successful submission does not guarantee a reply.
How long anything is kept
Private-residence enquiries are reviewed for deletion 12 months after the last direct exchange. A record may be kept longer when reasonably needed for an active conversation or a legal, regulatory, security or contracting obligation. You may ask for earlier deletion; the request will be considered subject to those obligations and to the service provider's backup lifecycle.
Asking what is held, or asking for it to go
Write to info@academiadevelopment.com and ask. You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Say which address you used on the form so the right record can be found.
Children
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect anything from them.
Photographs of people
Photographs and film of identifiable people appear on this site only with the consent of the people concerned or of the owners of the house. If you appear in something here and want it taken down, write to the address above and it will come down.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no archive of previous versions; the page as it stands is the current position.
This page describes the practice of one small company and its service providers in plain terms. It is not legal advice.
